We regret to tell you that Brig Harry Honnor is ill and in Auckland Hospital, where he had a leg amputated above the knee due to some problems in the lower leg.
He is recovering sufficiently that he will go back to Whangarei Hosp in the next couple of days.
We understand Jeff is in Middlemore Hospital and we wish him well.
We have just learnt that Tom Wagstaff passed away in Northland on Sunday 20 Jan 2013 aged 94 years.

SINCOCK Lawrence Robert MBE, Regt No F920696, WO RNZA, passed away peacefully on 28 November 2012, at Hamilton. aged 80 years.
Three active members, Graeme Henderson, Spencer Morrisson and James Horn and wives, (Joan, Rona and Aileen), met and enjoyed drinks and dinner at 228 Spey St Invercargill.
The Queen and the Regiment were duly toasted.
A group of Gunners gathered at the Thistle Inn on Monday afternoon to celebrate St Barbara's Day (albeit 24 hours early!) and to meet up with John Tulloch on his first visit to NZ in almost 40 years - John served in the RNZA (161 Bty 1968-69 Section Comd and FO, and 16 Fd Regt Adjt) before joinin
Harry Honnor is a lot brighter and more coherent today, but he said he may not return to his apartment. Pat had confirmed this earlier that he is being assessed for the Rest Home facility at Jan Mander.
Dedication Service and unveiling of a memorial to commemorate those who had served in the Armed Forces was held at Whenua Tapu Cemetery on Armistice Day this year. There were about 150 personnel in pouring rain attended, with veterans from Porirua, Titahi Bay, Pukerua Bay, Johnsonville and Tawa
Harry Honnor has not been enjoying good health of late and following a spell in Whangarei Base Hospital is now back in the hospital wing of the Jane Mander Retirement Village in Whangarei. [More as it comes to hand.]
